Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Underwater Bridge Inspection Contract with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation
March 23, 2010
Infrastructure Engineers will be providing routine underwater bridge inspection services for large river and reservoir crossings in the state of Oklahoma during the summer and fall of 2010.  The dive teams led by a professional engineer commercial diver will inspect over 160 piers in water depths up to 80 feet and flows up to 5 feet per second.  Infrastructure has been performing underwater inspections for the Oklahoma DOT for more than 10 years.

Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Fracture Critical Inspection Contract with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
November 30, 2009
Infrastructure Engineers will be providing inspection services as a subconsultant, for thirty-six fracture critical bridges in three counties within PennDOT's District 11. They will be a combination of National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and Fracture Critical Member (FCM) type inspections and will include core element inspections, i-form inspection forms, recommendations, and detailed reports for each structure.

Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Contract with Osceola County, Florida
November 30, 2009

Infrastructure Engineers will provide transportation and structural services for the Hoagland Boulevard design for Osceola County. The project will be designed in two distinct segments. Infrastructure will be the lead engineering firm for the preparation of roadway construction plans for Segment 2 (from approximately 1200-ft north of the Shingle Creek Bridge to 5th Street). Part of the design will include a 304-ft bridge spanning over the CSX railroad and Old Tampa Highway. In addition, we will be providing structural design services as a subconsultant for Segment 3.

Infrastructure Engineers Reaches out to Brevard County School

Infrastructure Engineers is pleased to sponsor the "Odyssey of the Mind" team at Sunrise Elementary School in Brevard County. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Thousands of teams across the United States compete to creatively solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to interpreting literary classics on the local, state and world level. Mr. Frank Hickson, Vice President of Infrastructure Engineers, will be coaching the Sunrise Elementary School team on engineering skills, problem solving, creativity, and teamwork. Infrastructure Engineers is proud of this team and the goals of the "Odyssey of the Mind".

Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Continuing Services Contract with the City of Kissimmee, Florida
September 30, 2009

Infrastructure Engineers was awarded a continuing services contract with the City of Kissimmee for the design of road and drainage projects. Services to be provided include the design of roadways, pedestrian and bicycle paths, intersections, and drainage projects as well as signalization design, traffic engineering studies and permitting, transportation modeling and analysis, geotechnical engineering studies, environmental engineering, and storm-water modeling.

Infrastructure Engineers Participates in Charity Event
September 18, 2009
Infrastructure Engineers participated in the fourth annual "Brian Little Memorial Golf Tournament" presented by the Florida State Employees Charitable Campaign (FSECC), the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and the United Way. The tournament was held at the StoneBrook Golf & Country Club in Pace, Florida. Proceeds went directly to local non-profit organizations through the United Way.

Infrastructure Engineers will be sponsoring the Heavenly Hoofs organization at their annual fund-raiser. The "Wild West Family and Fest Dinner Show" will be held in the Arabian Nights in Kissimmee, Florida on September 20th. Activities will include a festival, charity casino, dinner, and a live Wild West show on horseback.

The Heavenly Hoofs organization was established in 2002 to instill confidence, happiness, and excitement to children with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities by providing lessons for grooming, caring for, and riding specially-trained horses.

Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Contract with Florida Department of Transportation's District Two!
July 28, 2009

The Infrastructure Engineers team was selected by District Two of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
to provide a bridge concept study to investigate repair or replacement alternatives for the pile supported section of an existing three-cell box culvert, State Road 10A over Hogans Creek, located in downtown Jacksonville. Significant settlement has occurred in the pile supported section of the culvert that was built over layers of muck. The team will explore various options for repair including in-situ soil stabilization methods and replacement options for a single span bridge. All factors significantly affect the construction cost and build-ability of the project will be identified in the study.

Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Transportation Planning Contract with Osceola County, Florida!

Infrastructure Engineers was selected to provide professional services for traffic transportation planning and engineering services on an as-needed basis. Task orders on this project will include: transportation planning analysis, traffic data collection, traffic operation and transit studies, traffic engineering/ITS design, and plans preparation.

Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Vehicular
Bridge Repairs Contract in Key West, Florida!
June 24, 2009
Infrastructure Engineers will be providing professional engineering design services as a subconsultant to the Barton Malow Company for the repairs to the Fleming Key Vehicular Bridge located in Key West, Florida. This is a design-build project. The firm will be responsible for producing the repair/rehabilitation design of the AASHTO
I-beams, dolphin pile replacement, approach guardrails, bearing pad replacement, and cathodic protection
system, among other tasks.

Infrastructure Engineers Awarded Contract with District Three of the Florida Department of Transportation!
June 23, 2009

Infrastructure Engineers was awarded a contract with District Three of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), to provide the replacement design for two structurally deficient bridges and approach roadways on State Road 189 over Five Mile Bayou in Okaloosa County. The design will include a replacement bridge structure(s) that consists of two 12' travel lanes in each direction, inside and outside shoulders, and sidewalks. Design evaluation includes evaluation of right-of-way impacts, costs of detours, temporary drainage, environmental impacts, etc. The contract also includes  geotechnical and control survey maps.
